Do you think penalties for vaping are hefty enough in Singapore?
People will risk getting caught as long as they perceive that it isn’t a serious offence, says smoking cessation counsellor Sean Ang. Read his commentary:

Minimum mandatory fine $3000 will do for a start. We need to do this for the yangsters' own good. 短痛不如长痛。

should execute by hanging. LOL
Saw your post and wanted to chime in. I think the penalties for vaping in Singapore could be hefty enough to deter some, but it also depends on how serious people perceive the consequences to be. It's tricky because vaping can seem harmless compared to smoking, but it still poses health risks. The discussions around this issue, especially with products like
Packman Vapes in the mix, highlight how perceptions and enforcement play crucial roles. What do you think could make the penalties more effective?
Lousy useless authority should be fine. One container of vap can be found at warehouse....why they can smuggle in so easily.. heroin no wonder easier available in SG.
Littering. NEA failed
Road accidents. LTA failed.
Excess Foreigners ( FTs & PRs). MOM failed.
Lower GST rates. PAP failed.
Social Grace in society. PAP score Zero.
