S’porean with muscular dystrophy dies aged 38, a month after father dies from cancer

Edwin Chew, a 38-year-old Singaporean with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, passed away in hospital after battling the rare condition since childhood. Despite being wheelchair-bound since age 10, Chew defied expectations, learning Malay, writing a book, and mastering computer use with eye control.
