Kharkiv is one of the biggest cities of Ukraine. I am also surprised at Russian audacious move to attack. If Kharkiv should fell it will be one of the biggest victory for Russia eclipsing Bakhmut etc. And it send tensions to the world capital Kyiv will be next. No wonder Ukrainian is sending many many reinforcement over. We all know once a county capital fell it is game over basically. Zelensky days are numbered.

Russia has already taken 5 villages in Kharkiv… Kharkiv is beyond the eastern Ukraine Russia has occupied.

But I do have concerns Kharkiv is quite a big city. Taking the city itself versus the surrounding villages is a very big difference.

Still it is a big win for Russia knowing the city is far beyond the border of Eastern Ukraine, even if Russia can’t conquer the entire city it pushes the border aggressively westward. Heard Ukraine is short of soldiers and many women joined the military and are sent to frontline. 710k young Ukrainians fled overseas and are unwilling to come back.

Reader Tee Tiong huat say Ukraine intend send convict to war instead. I await to see how it turns out.

The lawmakers hope a regulated, voluntary process will allow Kyiv to mobilize up to 10,000 convicts for the war. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must sign the bill before it can take effect.
