Paying Ministers obscene wages ensures compliance and groupthink because no politician will dare speak up for fear of losing his million dollar annual salary. Even if PM LW contemplates telling SM to go fly a kite, his wife will tell him to shut up and continue to collect his humongous pay. This is the result of "money politics".
