I don't see anything wrong in "mate poaching" or "potong jalan" in the S'porean context.  A relationship is between 2 willing partners. If a BF or GF finds someone of the opposite or even same gender more appealing, then it is better for the partner to know before marriage. Many individuals are just not into committed single-partner relationships, even after marriage. Whether it is a 1-night-stand or to embark on a new relationship, if one's partner is not committed to settle for him/her alone for life, then it's better to know that early.   
She will be a successful poacher if she gets rid of those damn shoes
