One thing I find very wasteful is that for every bread bun, they have a plastic bag. You don't see that for bao, siewmai etc.

paper package can recycle.
our plastic all go to rubbish incinerator, recycle as energy, unlike other countries that dump them direct into rubbish site

HK, UK and Japan is doing better than us. Is it because the hawkers sell us plastic spoons and forks that we do not need?

If you don't want them, you don't have to take them. I don't take them when I takeaway.
People don't want but hawkers and coffee shops will still give those plastic fork and spoons
Hawkers tell me- It's FREE. He thinks I am as stewpig as the PAP Supporters.
Should start with a bill for 1 plastic fork or 1 plastic spoon at 10 Cents.
