1) I bumped into a long lost friend
That one with a Pharma Diploma
Who suddenly appeared in my office when my HR colleague needed a temp
My long lost friend said she has been on temp jobs in the past 10  years
No company wanted to hire her as permanent FTE 
Her career is ruined.

2) I myself not choosy
So I took up contract job in the past 6 years while searching for a permanent FTE role
Companies refused to consider me because my resumes showed contract jobs in the same profession throughout

I took up an ended- up NEVER able to get a permanent job after that

But my friend in banking one and near her 60 but manage to get a perm job. But sometime depend if you know some circle of friends may lead you getting a perm job
