Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides denies that his country is involved in military conflicts in the Middle East. In fact, Cyprus wants to join in fighting to resolve the conflict.

This statement was made by Christodoulides in response to threats from the secretary general of Lebanese Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, who admitted that he would take action if Cyprus intervened in the conflict in the Middle East.

In the statement, Nasrallah said that his party would attack Cyprus if the country's airports or military bases were used by Israel for prolonged military purposes.
