Gen Z lingo

Meta AI: Gen Z, born between 1997 and 2012, has its own unique slang and lingo. Here are some popular terms:

1. *Lit* - exciting, fun, or wild
2. *Ghost* - to suddenly stop responding or disappear
3. *Salty* - bitter or resentful
4. *Savage* - ruthless or brutally honest
5. *Lowkey* - secretly or quietly
6. *Highkey* - openly or obviously
7. *Shook* - shocked or surprised
8. *Tea* - gossip or juicy information
9. *Slay* - to excel or dominate
10. *Yaaas* - an enthusiastic yes
11. *No cap* - no lie or no exaggeration
12. *Cap* - a lie or exaggeration
13. *Fam* - friends or close relationships
14. *Bet* - a agreement or confirmation
15. *No brainer* - an obvious choice
16. *BAE*- before anyone else
17. *Goat*- greatest of all time
18. *FOMO*- fear of missing out
19. *AF*- as f*UK
20. *Big brain*- you ever done something so silly that it made you question all of your life decisions?
21. *Clap*- To be completely and utterly destroyed.
22.* Clown*- unintelligent
23.*cringy*- anything that’s embarrassing or try-hard
24. *Finna*- Another way to say ‘gonna’.
25. *Flex*- brag
26. *Fr*- For real.
27. *Ion*- I don't
28. *IRL*- in real life
29. *Karen*- A stereotype for women who behave extremely unreasonably and childish
30. *MOM/DAD*- naming idols as one of mom or dad
31. *NGL*-Not Gonna Lie
32. *Boomer*-baby boomer’, referring to older folks born 1946 to 1964
33. *Sus*- suspicious
34. *Simp*-someone who’s desperate to please another person.
35. *Slaps*- To describe something that’s really good
36. *Slay*-Doing something really well and is often used as an encouragement.
37. *Shade*-Diss. Also: throwing shade; being shady.
38. *Smh*- shook my head
39. *TBH*- to be honest
40. *TF*- the f*UK
41. *Woke*- Meaning ‘well-informed’ or used to describe someone who’s aware of the current social/political climate.
42. *Yeet*- version of YOLO (you only live once).
43. *W/L*- win / lose




Remember, Gen Z lingo is constantly evolving, and these terms may change or become outdated over time. Stay current, and stay lit!
8, 11, 12 and 16 are new to me.

Used some of them quite often. Didn't know these are Gen Z lingo though.
