It is possible to dress fashionably in hot and humid places like S'pore. I believe that comfort and intelligent fabric choices are key considerations. We must choose breathable fabrics such as cotton, linen or rayon which allow air circulation and helps keep us cool. There are clothes with moisture-wicking technology - especially active wear. S'poreans may choose lightweight fabrics that don't cling to our skin.
My wife and daughter love loose silhouettes i.e. flowy dresses, maxi skirts as well as pants with wide-legs. They like shorts, skirts and dresses that are above the knee for better air circulation. They love to embrace our tropical weather which includes wearing hats, sunglasses and sandals that are practical and stylish. They focus on comfort and breathable fabrics to look stylish and still feel cool in our warm and humid conditions. They believe that fashion is about expressing themselves.
