Very, very misleading. Not all adult sinkees will receive the payment. Some will never, ever get it.

I supposed gov gave out every family $1K ? ...at that time Singaporean can ask NTUC for $3K  for 3 times you forgotten already ?

To PAP gov, using money to solve problems is not a problem, also an easy and lazy solution.
