Currently, Singapore is under testing the suspected cases and relaxing restrictions in Dec 2021 for holiday season to boost the economy.

Most Western countries are seeing the surge in Omicron.

With Singapore open leg policy to foreigners without quarantine, the Covid surge is inevitable.

Today, I am seeing over crowded MRT trains ,malls and hawker centres, Omicron surge is guranteed
There has to be a price for opening  up.

Taking  a risk in the wintry month of December where viruses are most vibrant and virulent.

The imported surging cases are truly concerning albeit most of the population has been vaccinated.
Now they don't mention that place got mass infection sometime no doubt they do mention those 4 place which the infected changi airport staff go to.
Currently, we are protected by Indonesia, India, the Middle East, and China.

It seems that there are few infections coming from there. These countries serve as a buffer. So far, the virus did not get through these areas. The infected areas are Europe and US.

Yesterday 44 imported. But they are quarantined.

Let's hope it won't spread too much.

Actually we still have lots of restrictions in place. May not be so bad.
Think maybe already big surge, just not serious enough to end up in hospital. The link to submit ART does not ask for proof of ART taken with results. One just need to key in particulars and tick 'Negative' or 'Positive' and submit, and they are free to roam about.

This also applies to those traveling or returning via VTL. A surge is inevitable, but whether it will be made known or not depends on how many test done.

Airport must step up air disinfections. When virus load increase high enough
those weaker can be landed in hospital, even they are vaccinated three doses..  Shutup

The use of ART to test whether one is negative or positive is not the accurate means of testing, the better tests should be RT-PCR which is more accurate.... crying Angry
they looking no where else
except
a. cases growth 0.58
b. icu rate 47.65

if it stays this way
lets party!

Get vaccine whether up or down..
There is no effective vaccine against Omicron until March - April 2022.

Current vaccines cannot protect against Omicron.
Oredi stated snakes n ladders... just like vaccine impunity

Singapore has to gradually get to herd immunity. Some people will be victim during the process. As long icu is still available and Healthcare system is not overwhelmed, we will open up
If spike, wfh will he continue indefinitely.

The Omicron virus is very infectious, and  many are from the EU countries.  If we have open skies, then we will surely see a sea of infections via our airport..... crying

I disagree with HC, if I have the decision making power,
I will sterlise the air in airport, seaport, check points.  Big Grin
