“Working as senior staff but earning less than juniors feels like a huge slap in the face!” — SG employee laments

https://theindependent.sg/working-as-sen...e-laments/
I used to work at a publicly listed company where older Heads of Dept earmarked for lay offs had younger and less experienced managers parachuted in to become their supervisors. This was a slap in the face intended to coerce the older HODs to resign. Predictably, these managers in their late 40s and 50s had to suck it up till they could take no more and quit, or were eventually laid off.
Many of us is like that what.
No union to fight for the workers what can we do even unfairly treated.
Auto-resignations without the need for retrenchment benefits.

I have witnessed how some companies use such tactics to marginalise the older managers. If this happens in our late 50s, we have to bear with the situation till retirement at 64 or when the axe comes down. Those who are younger may still stand a chance of moving onto greener pastures.
