Tan, Yeoh join armed forces clean up effort in Taman Sri Muda

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia-born international film star Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh lent a helping hand on Christmas during clean-up after the recent flood in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam.

Both Yeoh and Tan took part in the post-flood cleanup with a team of the 502 Territorial Army under the 4th Malaysian Infantry Division (4 Div), Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and the Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Malaysia Foundation.

The clean-up took place at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Sri Muda 2. Also present was Armed Forces chief General Tan Sri Affendi Buang.

Yeoh after the clean-up said: "It is truly heartwarming to see all here, regardless of religion and race.

"We are one. This is the true spirit of Christmas."
