(CNN)The Omicron coronavirus variant is now spreading at warp speed. Three weeks after it was first detected in the US, it has become the dominant coronavirus strain, accounting for 73% of all new cases as of Monday, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The standard Covid-19 vaccine schedule must be a three-vaccine series for everyone, with the possibility of additional vaccinations if the data demonstrates the need.
