I am actually quite frustrated when this is raise for discussion, the facts are wrong and leaders try to pin the blame in Singaooreans saying they are career minded, they choose not to have more children etc. But why do are people driven to certain choices.?
Its not about who to blame but the root cause. Without fixing the root cause they solution will always fail.
It is unrealistic to ask singaporeans to have more children when they are struggling with high home prices, stress and job insecurity. Its like asking an injured man to carry one more sack of rice.
Remove the root cause of the problem whichnis high population density cause high hime prices and high stress among the people.
Use the correct approach from scientific data. The PAP has been using wrong method for 20yrs and never addressed root cause that is why the problem has not been solved

Lower educated men with a housewife can produce more children. The issue is that this Current Govt keep on importing FTs who are just like us to inculpate the situation.

- Can’t afford to start a family at the age of 18 - 23
Tuition fees are sky high, if you have 3 kids, you have to spend millions
Milk powder is also expensive, one tin costs $50-80
Are you willing to spend so much for a pram?

Low fertility rate is one of Singapore's buggest problems.
Scientists and sociologists have provided evidence that high population leads to low birth rates.
The PAP govt claims they want to solve this problem but have made it worse by increasing population density.
They are not sincere and not honest on this issue.
If you run this place like a Singapore Inc, you just need productive economic units more than natural birth, period. Kind of sums up the situation we are in.
