The good news is there are not many tourists there, western tourists got some but not many, Korean tourists are also not many, Sporeans are nowhere to be seen….most people have never heard of Vung Dau before.

The seafood restaurant next to the beach in the West Coast is very nice, you can watch sunset while having dinner and drinking beer.

That’s a fantastic deal! I stayed at an Orchard Road hotel once, and while it wasn’t by the beach, it was such a great location with easy access to everything. On another trip, I booked what I thought was an ocean-view room for cheap, only to find out the "view" was mostly rooftops with a tiny glimpse of water. Lesson learned! If this place actually has a proper ocean view plus breakfast for $80, that’s a rare find.

I stayed at Vungtau Premier Pearl hotel, it is a 30 storey building right in front of beach…with semi beach view. It is one of the new hotels.
