There's an American University a couples of McDonalds , Hard Rock cafe and casino at water front. Beautiful beaches..

The embassy district a lots of cafe and restaurants with excellent nightlife.

They all gone now

And close to Syria border, there's the remains of the biggest Roman temple outside Italy.

Sadly, the airport was a ghost town
No travel insurance coverage going to Lebanon.
While I was in Lebanon for one week, Syrian fighter jets were flying across Beirut sky constantly and Syrian soldiers were checking customers outside McDonald's.

Surprisingly, many Filipina were in Beirut owning restaurants and small cafes. 

And one year later, war broke up with Israel.
