Nais Lemark origin cost 4.50
Now they increase 50 due to CNY

I wonder if their own ppl buy will charge the same ? If I’m a Malay I rather cook myself than since increase 50 cents somemore I don’t celebrate CNY

Maybe increased price not for cny for every year maybe
Bef nasi lemak only $2.50 not long ago
So for other festive seasons, all also can raise price for the sake of celebration.

Their target for the 50cts increase are Chinese lah.
Fish ball noodle Bak Chor Mee upped $1....
Damn freaking hiong.
My side Malay stall also increased the price by 50 cents from 27 Jan. that is before CNY eve! The stall owner said CNY no budget meal, but when asked, still sold the usual budget meal, at $4.00 instead of $3.50.
Today bought roti pratas, curry very Tekong
Don’t bother the 50cts.

I noticed quite a lot hawkers in fact operate as usual but got increase price. I feel partly the new gen hawkers see in future , the next gen come CNY more likely will not celebrate much go visit relatives. Just another PH to them as usual. Next most Gen z whatever it call they hardly knows how to cook themselves. Thus surely need to go hawker centre, food court or even fast foods settle their usual meals.
it is not unexpected.
Muslim food is usually quite pricey. So I seldom eat.
