(Gaza, 19th) The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel announced on Tuesday that they had reached an agreement to release six living hostages in Gaza and return the bodies of four captives, including the body of the youngest hostage, a boy.
Their father, Yarden Bibas, was also taken hostage and was released alive in a previous hostage-prisoner exchange.
Hamas previously said that Shiri and her two children were killed in an Israeli airstrike in November 2023, but Israel has not confirmed their deaths.
"Until we receive definitive confirmation, our journey will not be over," the family said in a statement.
The Israeli military issued a statement on Tuesday calling on the public not to listen to "unconfirmed rumors" about the hostages, but did not elaborate.
