More details.
If there is no foul play it means
1 Accidental poisoning
2. One person die the other person commit suicide or both decide to die of suicide.
(1) is unlikely as it was reported a set of pills were strewn on the table as if to suggest they have died after taking the pills.
(2) is unlikely because there was no suicide note. Why would both commit suicide together? If they thought about it and decided to die togather its a planned suicide the how come pills are strewn haphazardly on the table.
If one person died and the other become overcome by grief a d took her own life. ...this is a rare scenario. A person does not instantly become suicidal when spouse die. If she had thought about it and decided to kill herself she would have left a note to explain...and again will not leave pills haphazard on dining table. Just simply leaving husband body on the ground to kill herself is very strange behavior.
My guess is an intruder or intruders went into the house to rob attacked the actor killed him then killed the wife. The dog was there so they killed it.
In their haste the robbers tried to make it look like a suicide ...by throwung the pills on dining table
