using tariff as a weapon to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. may backfire. According to some experts opinion, high tariffs may force the U.S. importers to increase prices to pass the burden to American consumers, as a result, it will cause high inflation, which will cause anger in the society. The reason is simple…it takes decades to bring back the factories & supply chains back to the U.S., and training millions of skilled workers also takes at least a decade, it won’t happen overnight like what Trump thought, and Trump only has 4 years in office…4 years later not many factories will be back in the U.S., and people have to pay 25-50% more price for groceries and everything during the transition period…in the end nothing gets achieved when Trump steps down…it will be a big failure.

In order to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., he has to do the following first:

1) Providing funding or incentives to business owners to train skilled workers in the U.S. and set up factories; (this takes at least a decade)
2) Encourage American businesses owners to build supply chains in the U.S. and set up factory plants; (this will take decades)

Once all these are done then he can start imposing heavy tariffs to the world to stop foreign goods entering the U.S., however he only has 4 years and he is already approaching 80…what he is doing today will cause hardship and suffering to Americans in the next 4 years.

To purse to have more manufacturing back,
Us spending power will decline
GDP and influence will slows.

It is trade off, 
a lot depends on how well the execution of planning of supply chain, it may not yield that kind of return.

Trump wil never win this trade war with the whole europe against him. US wil be doomed.
