Labour chief Ng Chee Meng was seen at a family carnival in Fernvale on 16 March, ahead of the upcoming general election. According to The Straits Times, his appearance has raised questions about whether he will contest in Jalan Kayu SMC or Ang Mo Kio GRC. Ng previously contested in Sengkang GRC but did not stay on after his 2020 defeat.
