Donald Trump said the Fed should lower rates, as tariffs start to ease into the economy. Earlier, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said any inflation bump from levies may prove “transitory.” The central bank kept rates steady yesterday and penciled in 50 basis points of reductions this year.
