1. HOURS OF WORK:
Why do we need 5 Full-time Mayors?
Meaning they work 44 hours to 60 hours per week for us
around 207 HRS/ MTH
around 2485 HRS/ YEAR
i wonder which minister came up with the mayor idea
we did not need mayors since the 60s
why did they think having mayors will improve lives
unless their MPs are not doing their job
and it also increase the cost of pap govt
the primary purpose is to pay their pap friend since they are not elected..and disguise as mayors
this indoirectly is a scam and fraud

Their job is to "motivate" to help community
Must be stewpig Dennise Phua's idea from HR
BUT what are the 25 KPIs each that she has set for the
Councillors, Grassroots and Volunteers to motivate them to get results ?

ROLE:
A mayor is the top executive in a city, municipality or town government. The mayor often oversees many public works departments for their locale, including fire, police, emergency medical and utility services. The mayor is commonly a part of the town council, serving in a leadership position for meetings. The powers afforded to a mayor vary based on the structure of the local government. A mayor may be in a strong-mayor setting, where they have many administrative and legislative responsibilities, or a weak-mayor structure, in which the mayor is on a similar level to other members of the town council.
-The Mayor of London has a legal duty to set out policies and proposals in this strategy, and leads
on the implementation of measures in the capital to tackle pollution emissions, reduce exposure,
raise awareness and integrate air quality and public health.
- The mayor has very few direct powers over the economy, but they do support businesses in the capital and have control over strategic planning which means they can approve projects that will impact London.
- Managing city departments / Town Councils working alongside the mayor to ensure that the budget is balanced and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Speaking with constituents at meetings, their office or in public, answering questions and listening to concerns
- Overseeing public service departments and ensuring they are operating effectively
- Completing administrative tasks related to the daily operations of the local government
- Approving press releases, speaking with journalists, leading press conferences and completing other media availability tasks
4. SALARY
Based on what to give them $660,000 salary per year?
Their job responsibilities, their law degree, they work lots of over-time everyday or Gerard Ee's Review?
5. Ms Low said that rather than misconceptions, there may be lesser-known aspects of the job, such as needing to build relationships, having “pulse checks” and an “intimate understanding” of the community’s needs.

11.
As Phua noted, mayors and Community Development Councils (CDCs) . . . identify common areas, and seek resources from corporates and agencies. This collaborative approach ensures that programs are developed and scaled effectively across the district.
