The White House is working on a formal plan to persuade Greenland to become part of the United States, and the Americans are considering, among other things, an offer to replace the block grant from Denmark by giving $10,000 per citizen in Greenland, writes the New York Times.

The Washington Post reported last week that the US is considering an economic offer for Greenland. The Post also described how the White House is examining the costs of running Greenland and what can be gained from its natural resources.
