For some reason, dis terms have now taken on a derogatory tone. Young Sinpwn Indians take offense at the word while not knowing its true origins.
Last time got Indian Eurasians use the word "chink" bcos angmos used it and it made them seem westernised to follow suit . Doubt the Chinese took offense bcos they were too busy trying to make money to care.
While "chink" is used in a racist context, the word "cina" [Malay noun for Chinese] isn't though that too has now taken a derogatory tone for some.
Be proud of your own cultural and ethnic roots and none of these words will matter.
Well, it is just PaP Camp stirring and creating trouble.

Last time 80s, 90s my classmates mix of indian and malays even got one ang mo mix
we also use these type of " terms " to tease around but no body is angry even others use some words to " troll " chinese we also like that. Together play
Partly I feel due to Western culture getting more racism thus make people now a days " over sensitive "
In fact western side back in early 80s/90s also not very racism. Is later they feel strong influx of other people coming in than start racism stuffs.
This bring back why the White start KKK clan which is racism on the black even till now.
