Then the gst refund at airport is for what?? Lol

And Grace Fu said tourist and foreigners by cars etc pay gst?
You mean GST? Tourists yes, but Foreigners, NO way!

Assuming 3 days in Singapore plus food and taxi rides, their GST is around $100

For Foreigners, unless they are FTs coming here to stay then must buy one time off items

Sofa, bed, kitchenware, bowls, their one-time surge in GST is $153
Do they noticed why even weekdays Causeway Jam? beside usual weekend?

Even Foreigners and Tourist here spend more at Malaysia and oversea.

They just happen pass by SG, like just stay one or two days. They don't tactically spend a lot in SG due to things etc is expensive here than Malaysia and other Asia countries up there or surrounding SG.

So can govt show us how much of all these spending by tourist and how much by people staying in sg? I certainly do not think tourist and foreigners make up the bulk of gst we collected.
Don't fake and bluff me on numbers and facts, don't forget I used to work in govt for over 2 decades. Lol

Here is the report

“The Lion City has traditionally been more a magnet for business travel, but these large-scale global music events are a boon for Singapore’s travel-related services that can add up to 10% of its GDP,” HSBC’s ASEAN economist Yun Liu wrote in a recent note."

Because A lot people still " not street wise mah " Always believe what Mainstream media say.

KNS you see those Ang Mo youtuber come SG . 90 percent of them JUST stay in SG for at most two days. Later show case Malaysia, Thailand etc after they left SG travel up. They spend most days at there. Thus You can't say they pay more GST . Partly they stay in SG just only few days.

Even the top 10 tourism dollar countries have as a percentage to their GDP less than 10%. Tell me then how gst can be mostly collected from tourist and foreigners??!?
