......

At the onset of puberty, adolescents may develop a two-hour phase delay in their circadian rhythm, or their "body clock", and that leads to a natural tendency to fall asleep at later times

......

A later school start time after 8am or 8.30am for secondary school students would accommodate their adolescent circadian rhythm better

This comes as the issue of later school start times was discussed in Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 3).

......

Later school start times have been associated with better sustained attention, school attendance and improved academic performance

......

But later start times also lead to logistical issues.

office worker oso shift later.. lol  lppl.
It is a no, no. I suggest that Schools should start at 7 am iso 7.30 am.
This will force parents to send their children to a School nearest their home.

It is the long journey for children if they have to travel for more than 1 hour to Schools and that is “torturing” the students

Wow!

Your logic seems to be no logic leh!  Tongue
The main reason schools start early is to avoid public transport congestion and another is for parents to send their children to school. All these experts just don't get it.
Last few decades no expert meh now then got expert? Now many young MP with young kids must have the feeling of kid tireness, lack of sleep etc....can take to parliament to discuss
