22 April 2025 - Terrorist attack in the Baisaran Valley of Jammu and Kashmir that killed 27 people, including 25 Hindu tourists, a Christian tourist, and a local Muslim, and injured more than 20 others.

23 April 2025 - India's to temporarily suspend the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan

23 April 2025 - Pakistan also warned India of that any action affecting water resources would be considered an act of war

24 April 2025 - Pakistan suspended visas to Indian nationals and closed its airspace to Indian aircraft, expelled Indian diplomats and instructed Indian military advisers to depart

24 April 20225 -  the Indian XV Corps reported that it had thwarted an infiltration attempt by insurgents near Uri and killed 2 insurgents.

25 April 2025 - Indian Army were deployed to track down the militants. An Indian soldier was killed and two other soldiers wounded during a gunfight with insurgents in the Basantgarh region of Udhampur. Senior Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Altaf Lalli was also killed in the gunfight.

24 April 2025 - 5 May 2025 - Indian and Pakistani army engaged in skirmishes and exchanged small arms firing. Pakistani army shot down two Indian military quadcopter drones along the LoC.

26 April 2025 - India released water from the Uri Dam into the Jhelum River unannounced, resulting in flooding

29 April 2025 - Pakistani forces opened fire on the international border along Kashmir.

30 April 2025 - Pakistan claimed it has "credible intelligence" that India is going to launch military action within several hours

3 May 2025 - a soldier from the Pakistan Rangers was captured by BSF after crossing the border to India.

6/7 May 2025 - India launched "Operation Sindoor", striking what it described as "terrorist infrastructure" in Pakistan. The operation lasted 23 minutes and consisted of missile strikes by IAF jets. 100 militants had been killed in the strikes. Pakistan said, the Indian strikes targeted civilian areas, including mosques, killing 31 Pakistani civilians.

7 May 2025 - The attack was presumably carried out by the Rafale aircraft of the Indian Air Force using SCALP missiles and AASM Hammer glide bombs over a 23-minute duration

7 May 2025 - Pakistan said that it had downed three Rafales, one MiG-29, one SU-30MKI and an unmanned aerial vehicle.[99] A French intelligence official told CNN that an Indian Rafale was downed by Pakistan, though the French military did not comment

8 May 2025 - India negated these strikes by the S-400 missile system, denominated as Sudarshan Chakra marking India's first combat use of the that missile system

8 May 2025 - 12 Indian drones were shot down

8 May 2025 -  eight Pakistani missiles were claimed to have been intercepted by the S-400 missile system


10 May 2025 - Pakistan launched an operation codenamed "Operation Bunyan al-Marsus" targeting several Indian military bases.


10 May 2025 - A ceasefire began at 17:00 was first announced by US President Donald Trump on social media

10 May 2025 -  Minutes after the ceasefire announcement, loud explosions were heard and projectiles were seen in the sky over the cities

10 May 2025 - India and Pakistan accuse each other of committing ceasefire violations

10 May 2025 - both India and Pakistan announced that a ceasefire was agreed, Following the deadline, both countries accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement
