The Singapore rules regarding cyclists sharing walking path  with the pedestrians should b seriously revamped to make the path safe for the pedestrian walking. The lack of enforcement is one to b look into;  the other is to make cyclists seriously responsible for their fault in cycling that causes injuries to the pedestrians.
Pedestrain paths now poses danger to pedestrains. At my area, there has been one old man and 2 younger chaps who will yell and shout at pedestrains who refuse to give way to them for the past many years.
Social Behaviour Management in a packed like sardine country has been PaP's weakest area for many years.
Cycling need to buy good type insurance ...Ask Jln Kayu MP for advice.

Until now, the government has not done anything to alleviate the danger caused to pedestrians by these vehicles. It is a great failure by the government.

Now, pedestrians cannot even walk safely on the pavements!

I think Singapore is the only so called first world country where pedestrians are not protected on pedestrian paths!
Pedestrians should not share path with cyclists. Realized that many old people cannot walk straight. Another problem of having a cycling path is that pedestrians prefer to walk on a well paved cycling path than to keep to their pedestrian path. This happens in my estate.
