Return to Canon and exchange for a new one if it is still under warranty.

The printer is a good brand maybe check with them online see can resolved problems ?
First of all how old was the printer ? Printer need maintenance every month have to print a few paper to ensure working fine.
Scold the printer gao gao
the ink run out very quickly
they sell u the printer cheap
but will get back on the ink cartridge
Never tell what is the fault.
Not in home position
or not communicating?
2 possible reasons:
1) The ink cartridge head is choked and needs to be cleaned.
2) Reinstall the driver.

Inkjet printers are lousy. Use laser printer is still the best
If the printer is not in use for a period of time, the wet ink will dry up in the printer head. Just clean it.
Epson printer (~20 years ago) same same, always got problems and ink always choked even with regular use.....use its self-cleaning waste much ink until 1 cartridge can only print a few pages.
Swore never buy Epson again.

I tot nowadays Brother printer is better
I have to lug the heavy printer from bedok to one north
And the guy said use his phone no problem
But my phone just cannot work
He said printer working
