Local police said there was a sole survivor, The Telegraph reports. The man, who was sat in seat 11A, is now receiving treatment in hospital.

It is not clear how he survived the fiery crash after the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, bound for London, Gatwick, collided with a medical college dorm in the suburb of the Indian city of Ahmedabad, and erupted into flames.

Here's what we know:

More than 200 bodies recovered from the crash site.
The plane crashed into a residential area. It is not yet known if there are casualties on the ground.
On board were: 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian national and seven Portuguese nationals.
Flight AI171 was travelling from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick.
The aircraft is a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

More than 290 dead. 241 of 242 on board the plane dead with one Indian British survivor from seat 11A. At least 3 medical students died. Not sure who are the rest.

11 of the plane's dead were children and 2 of them were infants.

I wish all must those pre-training again,  especially on safety procedures. 100 or 1000, they must go for safety 
procedures. Cost is not a problem. Their attitude must be on the right path, like those pilot's from new zealand pilot train school.

I wish all must again for those pre-training again, especially on safety procedures. 100 or 1000, they must go for safety procedures. Cost is not a problem. Their attitude must be on the right path, like those pilot's from new zealand pilot training school. Big Grin
