Singapore tightens digital media laws as trust in news declines to 45%, says Reuters report

Singapore’s media regulations now target deepfakes ahead of elections, expanding existing online laws like POFMA. While trust in mainstream outlets remains high, many are adapting to digital trends and resource challenges, according to the 2025 Digital News Report by the Reuters Institute.

haha . . . .    Rotfl

Not distrust in news but no trust in PAP

Their rubbish half-past 6 under SG Worst Minister in History

Might as well read from other sources
It means 55% don't trust pap anymore. Clapping
So this will promote and increase trust in non digital news ?
For example- Cotton Chan said CECA created 400,000 jobs ( ST News, 2019).

This kind of rubbish read to waste time might as well read other rubbish
Like that must well be China, NK , Russia lor.
Why such important news PAP dare not get their own Machine to print?

Only rubbish news then get ST News to print, arh?

are 65% so stewpig to read ST Rubbish??

The more they tighten, the more ppl  dont read mainstream media.

This is just like a double bladed sword.
