A new law, which gives the police powers to control the bank accounts of stubborn scam victims who insist they are not being defrauded, will take effect on July 1.

The restriction orders will be issued only as a last resort, after other options have been exhausted.

Some victims kena "gong tau" by the scammers. Even the police tell them they kena scammed they still dun believe and insist transferring funds to them. So police must take over their account lah.    Big Grin
