Hong Kong was relatively stable and as good as Singapore in terms of private sector debt until 2003, when the SARS outbreak and street protests against Article 23, the proposed national security legislation, occurred. The street protests lasted till 2020 when China amended Hong Kong's Basic Law

I think this video is very lacking and i will reveal the stupidity.

The RTS link has a capacity of 10,000 per hour and operate for 15hrs a day. This means it can increase add 150,000 crossing over to JB per day for day trips. This is 2.5% of our population.

If fully utilised it will increase the total crossing ibto Malaysia by 30% a day...but on weekdays the crossing rate is already underutilised based on todays traffic...any body who wants yo cross over monday to thurs day can do so easily today.

So likely tge added capacity will ease the weekend rush. Maybe add another 10-20% crossing into malaysia. Max is 30%.

Within 4-5yrs the singapore population will grow by that number.

The number crossing over in the best case will jncrease by 30% ...but relative to our population is still small.

Already within Singapore people pay more for prime property vs non prime though the distance is 10-20km. The conept of going to save money by going all the way to JB to eat cheaper Haidilao or dental service only appeal to a small minority. ...you can save 60-80% going to JB dentist but only 1-3% of the people will travel there to save the money.
Tech companies been retrenching since last year

SG F&B already dying

Retail also joining

What next??
