My friend read the news article. It says Singapore Workers, NOT "Singaporean Workers". 

So this news is referring to FTs. This is for all sorts of Fake./ Unrecognized/ Unarediited FTs without the right qualifications to come here to work

YEP! It is an excuse for MOM to evade all checking of certs so that any FTs are hired based on skills.

That is why PAP purposely make mid-career/ elderly PMEs jobless, so that more FTs can replace our jobs.

See how cruel they are?

I'd rather vote a taxi- driver than any PAP for 6G that needs 10 YEARS of Internship Training.

After sieving all the criteria still FTs r the best

I think PSP raised this point. To increase the salary criteria to $10k per mth but he was shot all over by various PaP Ministers.

Base on this, I think PaP wants more foreigners regardless if they are genuine talents we need or merely, just another " Parking Zone" to gain training expereince here.
