To reduce its dependence on the supply of chips and strengthen its semiconductor industry, Thierry Breton is launching a very ambitious plan of nearly 50 billion euros. It is also equipping itself with a reciprocity instrument equivalent to the American Defense Production Act (DPA) to preserve its strategic interests in certain critical areas, including chips.
