We should not go for cheaper and less effective vaccines, cos human lives are involved......

mRNA vaccine costs a few dollars but the margin is high. It can be produced faster and in bulk.

Vietnam is a poor country.

China is helping them.

You can say Sinovac or Sinopharm is lousy.

But that's what China has.

And they are using that for their own people too.

It's not as if they give a "lousy" vaccine to Vietnam, but secretly use a better one for their own people.

Of course, one can argue that there is no free lunch and that China has an ulterior motive...

But then again, when China's enemies donate, they are also having the same ulterior motive to win allies, right.

mRNA vaccine is more about precision. But the virus' spikes have since changed. Creating antibodies to block the viruses at the recognised spikes from attaching to the human cells.

The benefits outweigh the risk of mrna.

My feel is MRNA vaccines cause more contagion and more variants.
