It will divide Singapore because the Rich can easily afford to pay GST but the poor, especially older Generation pays more when the bulk of the high cost is medicine and medical bills.
PAP keep on advertising that GST is good. It will unite Singapore.

Might as well set $1000 levies on all EP to unite the different classes of Singapore under the Caste System.
101 excuse for raising GST:

1. To help the poor & delay the high cost of living impact
2. To invest back on the people & improve qualify of life
3. To maintain infrastructure
4. To reduce health cost
5. To create more job
What is the point of building a Fairer SG

When PAP keeps on importing Traitors like Jac Lau?

Even though I’m retired for the past 2 1/2 years I can sustain myself for at least 10-15 years. But with this increase in GST and what I’m not getting back from the govt from the Assurance Package, it is going to affect my standard and costs of living. They have lost one vote.
No way. In fact, I think GST has caused further division in Singapore.
