Only in Singapore where a panel headed by one political party can investigate its main opponent and pass a judgement to recommend the public prosecutor to go after them.
This is like asking US Republicans to pass judgement on Democrats.
Giving one political party the right to judge its rival and approval the conclusion is ludicrous and can never happen in democratic countries....give me one example outside Singapore.
A key part of ensuring honesty is avoiding a conflict of interest is a must.
If there is no check and balance and no regard for the fairness of processes.....what integrity are we talking about in the first place.
As for truth....what has happened to Singaporeans after 50yrs of PAP. We become afraid to speak the truth due to fear of repercussions.
On one hand the govt says honesty is important but it goes after people who speak honestly....one example is famous blogger Lee Kin Mun who was sacked for writing an honest article about the state of Singaporeans.

Catherine Lim describe this rule by fear as causing a lost of trust in govt. Can a person trust a system in which he is too afraid to question?

Truth and honesty cannot emerge where people are fearful to speak up. Lawsuits ...legal means are used against people.
Do people dare to tell the truth when they have the power to sue until your pants drop.
Look at how this inventor whose invention was stolen was dealt with.

If you are person without means will you dare to speak the truth when they use legal cannons against you?
There is never interest in honesty nor truth from the people among the ruling elites. They are more interested in keeping the people tame and silent....and easy to govern rather than dealing with people who express their honest views.
