The increase tax for top earners are really peanuts... 1%..
Meanwhile the tax effect for no so rich is definitely more than 1%. Gst itself is already 2% and poorer folks sure have higher propensity to consume, meaning most of their income will be spent thus taxed.
The rich is very unhappy now?
Especially the fake rich….

24% tax for income over 500k and 23% for income over a million

📈 The increase in GST will be staggered in 2 steps – from 7-8% in Jan. 2023, followed by another increase from 8-9% in Jan. 2024.
