The way I see this- PAP is creating more problems by this stupid same idea that JoTeo rolled out, too.

1. If raising the minimum salary can solve the problem, then why not raise it to $10k per mth that PSP Leong MW mentioned??

2. If still leave the same problem dangling like 10 years ago, then what new sub-clauses/ policies has been added to close the gaps??

Hopeless 4G lead 5G into the ditch. And some of us must die with them!

Tan SL increase the min salary from $4500 to $5000 only protects the fresh/ young employees in the market.

How many degree/ MBA holders in their mid- career earn $5k?

It takes a Perm Head Damage to come up with this wayang?

Don't forget on paper can pull hire at $4k but under table can crawl back..$1 plus

Blanket plan to rise the salary threshold serve no purpose, 
as govt do not exhibit strategy plan where to field more Sporeans in and develop that sector.

Minimum $1400 post is perhaps crate for elderly workers, 
but again not all jobs suitable for elderly.
