Ukrainian Army: Fighting for military airport near Kiev

3:28 p.m .: According to the country’s army, fierce fighting with Russian troops around a military airport began near the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Thursday. As the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zalushny, announced on the online network Facebook, fighting was taking place around the Hostomel military airport a few kilometers north-west of the capital. The airport was attacked by several helicopters.
