However as Singaporeans we know we live in a relatively new small nation state surrounded by big neighbors whose empires in the past cover Singapore or can be claimed to cover Singapore.

If big nations don't respect these laws and find excuses to invade a country we are in danger.

Totally agree with you. Our existence rest on these international laws. However, I am shock to see so many traitors in this forum. Many of them was pro singapore, but now joined the other side..

Ukraine wasn't a small country previously... They produced and own 25% of USSR GDP. They had 6 times more nuke warheads than China. All the best military and industrial machineries. Best shipping port and facility that produced many aircraft carriers and other sophisticated maritime vessels...
