Height is one danger but the biggest danger is the flood water flowing at high speed and creating strong current or not. If got strong current, knee height also can capsized a guy and if small boy carried him into the monsoon canal.......

if fall into a big drain or canel, adult will drown oso if the rain is so heavy.  i remember many years ago got 1 boy die in a canel during heavy rain.
