The EP salary criteria is their Minimum Wage

If companies want to hire them, of course must pay more

The Question is- Can companies afford to pay them more?

If there is no hanky panky undertable deal like declare higher salary but pay employer back the money, raising the wage ceiling will help local to get jobs in a way, and hopefully one day it costs more to hire a foreigner than a local..

If EP minimum salary criteria really works, then it will be set at $10k/ mth

In other words, this fcking idiotic system failed year after year, that is why must raise from $3300 to $3600  . . . . .to $5k in Sept 2022.

Anyway, this stupid idea from PAP is merely wayang

Because the mid- career jobless are still jobless

Including my own neighbor upstairs who is still jobless after 8 years

From her 40s to now, she is in her 50s ( base on her looks)

Why use salary criteria to differentiate the work pass like Credit Cards? 

Of course, it will fail repeatedly because every industry is different ie banks vs laundry shop

She cannot learn and failed to learn from past HR work experience

 business will look for lowest cost. if foreigner are more expensive it is more beneficial to employ local.
if a business do the reverse, the there is a case of possible corruptions. need to investigate. all these can happen outside of singapore.
any business caught in overseas kick back should be fine and band from employing foreigner.

put in a reward for reporting corruptions and it will be reported by people in the know.

Biz will look for lower cost for outsiders

But will continue to overpay themselves like PAP

Saw one job ad for Office Manager to handle SG and Australia at $3,500/ mth

In Australia, even an idiot Office Manager with low IQ gets paid $6k per mth

BaN all FT is the solution, only singaporean , no other option.
