Yes, according to those folks working in the si lang business  Surprised
This is well-known to Buddhists. Thanks. Another proof that Buddhism already revealed the truth to us way before scientific evidence.

Any stories?

Remember after an old uncle passed away in death bed in hospital, his son and daughter started crying loud, then they noticed tears drop out of their dad’s eyes….which means the dead person could still hear and feel sad even after his heart beat stopped.

That means the old man is not dead yet. For that to happen it means he can still hear the crying which means the sense of hearing is still alive. For the eyes to teared, it means the sense of sight is still alive.

I have read some where with scientific explanation that dead bodies can emit liquids from eyes, nose, ears and mouth during the process of decaying and that's why they were plugged with cotton. I believe if you do a search you might find something about this....... Big Grin

The medical name for dead body movement during decaying is called cadaveric spasm, instantaneous rigor mortis, etc....... Big Grin

Decay takes days, it won’t happen instantly.

Here you go, he was still able to move his head after his heart stopped beating.

I am not here speculating rumours or ghost stories, I am sharing scientific research outcome….we used to believe once the heart stops beating, the person dies instantly, this is not true anymore, research shows the brain, the ears and other parts of body remain active for quite a while after the person’s heart stops.
If given a chance what would you whisper to LHL after his heart stopped beating?
I would ask: Do you prefer CECA or American's?
The mind is different from the brain. Mind could exist after death. One doctor describes it as an electro magnetic field around the brain. That could explain near death or back from death experiences.

Funny that someone who is so anti-Indian like you would believe in a religion which was taught by an Indian.....

You makes sense.

The brain is after all a tangible thing.  It can be seen and touched just like all other organs (kidney, pancreas, heart etc).  But the mind is abstract.

What dies is the body including the brain of course.

What cannot die is the intangible part of us...some call it spirit and soul.

The body is just so many atoms.  It is no different from any other creature or even inanimate object.

The body is part of the universal constant of all atoms in the universe.

From the dust of the Earth, God make Adam.

And breathed into that body of dust "Life".

While the body (including the brain) will return to the Earth upon death, the mind with its memories of what the person had done while living in this world will live on...spirit and soul....to face judgment.  The Judgement of God.

This I have seen before.

Very likely a field of energy still exist and will migrate to next body of one of the six realms.

You're wrong about a few things:

1. I'm not anti-Indian. I'm only against some of their practices and culture.
2. Strictly speaking, Gautama Buddha is not an Indian. He's born in modern-day Nepal.
3. His teachings are rejected by Indians, and they have a misunderstanding that he's of their gods, which is not true at all. If they have imbibed his teachings India would be a much better country now.
