SINGAPORE - Women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (Stem) will get a boost with a $1 million gift from Manpower Minister Tan See Leng.

He said the endowment was inspired by knowing and working with many talented and capable women from fields such as medicine, pharmacy and chemical engineering, in announcing the personal contribution on Thursday (April 7) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Kudos to him for the donation. I find that his performance is better than those whose whole lives are in civil service.

Do not use age to deter this country from benefitting from his possible ability that surpasses MP Chan and MP Ong.

His one year stint seems to have made MP Josephine lack lustre and shows that he may be that man who can tell PM Lee to disappear.

People take up various courses based on job prospects especially pay.

Singapore is a financial center the pay is very high for those in finance courses.

Recently high demand for software people. ..but NUS computer science very hard to get in.
