They know there are cases in community but refused to do mass tests so that making the garment look good in fighting covid, no test means no cases, they claimed Taiwan is the best in the world fighting Covid, now viruses spread across entire island. Can not cover up anymore.
now they are making $$$ from citizen selling ART kits at high price.

The truth is Taiwan has done lesser tests in the world, only 650k tests were conducted per million, in Spore we have done 4 million tests per million.

Although Taiwan’s health minister claimed Taiwan has gained good experience during SAR, that’s why they have done a great job …the truth is (1) last year when most of the countries fighting for vaccines, Taiwan failed to get any, they refused the Pfizer vaccines provided by the only Asian distributor from Shanghai for political reasons. (2) now when Spore and HK have free ARTs at home for self tests, Taiwan is short of both PCR and ART kits, people have to queue at pharmacy for half a day to buy ART kits at $10+ each, most people ended up empty handed as no more stock.
Since ARTs are not only not enough stock but also expensive, many who kena COVID may not have a chance to get tested, there could be far more cases hidden and unreported
